Hi, my name is Fuzz. You might know me from the free code school I ran for local residents or my work on downtown wifi, municipal broadband, and economic development projects. More likely you know my wife April, a manager at Berryvale, or one of my kids who attend College of the Siskiyous.
For the past 18 years I have been an early-stage startup troubleshooter. I have served in non-founder executive roles for notable startups—CTO of FieldReport, co-CEO of Glass Planner.
The startup market is hotter than ever and my bona fides are solid—I was a key figure at an Ivy League AI research lab. But after years of living here I have developed a different vision of my career, something local. A country doctor for technology.
What do I actually do? I work with businesses. I can almost certainly handle any problem or project related to technology, and in the rare case that's not possible I can refer you and ensure the work is done properly. I can drive my Subaru to your ranch in the middle of a blizzard to fix the wifi, help you integrate AI into your business, build an app for your local festival or to launch a billion-dollar company, set up security cameras, design ruggedized solar-powered sensors to monitor wilderness conditions, integrate ancient software you still need with new systems—anything.
I charge $150/hr, same as an electrician. Prepaid blocks are available for $130/hr, my emergency/after hours rate is $300/hr. Travel time is charged at the hourly rate outside of Weed/Mount Shasta City/McCloud/Dunsmuir. Project quotes available. Email fuzz@eddys.co or call/text 530-925-9797 to get started.
